Computer manufacturer ASUS, has on February 27, 2013, launched its Android-based tablet named the MeMO Pad, for the Indian market. The new tablet by ASUS has been priced at Rs. 9,999 and runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform. The new tablet comes with a 7-inch Twisted Nematic display resolution of 1024 X 600.

The new device features a ten finger multi-touch function, with a wide viewing angle. The tablet has up to seven hours of battery life, with a front facing HD camera, which can take HD videos with up to 30 frames per second.

The device comes with an in-built memory of 8 GB and micro SD slot which supports up to 32 GB extra storage. The company has powered the new tablet with a 1 GHz VIA WM 8950 mobile processor. This is then paired with Mali-400 graphics chip and 1 GB RAM. ASUS is offering the tablet in Sugar White, Cherry Pink and Titanium Gray colors.

The ASUS MeMO weighs 358 gms, measuring 196.2 x 119.2 x 11.2 mm. The tech company is offering floating apps with multi-tasking, browser, sticky memo, stopwatch, countdown and buzz buddy in terms of software enhancement. Moreover, the electronics manufacturer is also offering the ‘Cloud Experience’ service, which allows users to sync data and edit files online.
