After the alleged suicide by Ram Singh, a prime accused in the Delhi gang rape case, a post mortem report of the body has been released. The report has mentioned that the death occurred due to hanging. The family of Singh had claimed that he might have been strangulated to death.
The reports went on to say that there were no antemortem injuries on the body, which generally take place if there has been a struggle before death. The question that still remains though is whether Ram Singh had hung himself, or whether he was hung by someone else.
On the other hand, defense lawyer Manoj Tomar said that he had seen Ram Singh’s body and it had multiple injuries on it, along with the right collar bone being damaged. Tomar added that there were scratch marks on the body as well and stressed that Singh did not commit suicide.
According to initial reports, the accused had committed suicide inside the jail cell. After the autopsy, Singh’s family has been handed over the body. The family has alleged that he had been murdered and have demanded a CBI probe into the matter. Singh was seen hanging in his cell early morning by policemen.
