After the success of the original Nexus 7 tablet, Google is all set to launch its successor in the month of July 2013. The new Nexus 7 tablet is expected to be priced at £150. The new device will have a Qualcomm chip, as compared to the Nvidia Tegra processor, which is found in the original Nexus 7.
Reports say that the new tablet will be manufactured by Asus, who had earlier produced the best selling original version of Google’s tablet. The Nexus 7 tablet had changed the entire picture of the tablet market, as it offered great value beyond anything that was earlier available. The search engine markets the device well by selling the tablet at its manufacturing cost and earning money by advertising on the device.
Similar tactics were adopted by Amazon with its Kindle Fire range of devices as well. The new Nexus 7 is expected to have a higher resolution 7-inch display. The device will be thinner, with a smaller bezel surrounding its display. This will give the smartphone a more premium appearance and also reduce the size of the tablet significantly.
Asus will also include a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in the next Nexus 7 and will replace the Nvidia Tegra 3 which was in the original.
