Auto giant Ford’s new compact Sports Utility Vehicle has been in the news since November 2012. The company was also supposed to launch the car in India, but ever since the announcement of the Union budget, the hasn’t been any news about the vehicle, despite much of promotion in the country.
The Ford EcoSport Urban discoveries campaign is still being run across the nation and the vehicle will be launched in the month of June this year. There is plenty of excitement surrounding the compact SUV, for which the company has been responsible. The Ford EcoSport had received tremendous response from campaigns in malls in the cities of Delhi and Mumbai.
In India, the vehicle will be available in two engine options, one is the 1.5 litre diesel and the other is the 1.0 litre EcoBoost. The EcoBoost has received great response across the globe and has the capability to generate a maximum power output of 120 bhp, which is the best in its class.
The engine also produces the lowest emissions, as per the past figures which were obtained from those cars with petrol engines. The interiors of the vehicle are quite comfortable and it has adequate headroom and legroom for five passengers. The EcoSport is thus a great combination of luxury and comfort.
