After a long wait, mobile manufacturing giant HTC has launched its ‘One’ handset for the Indian market. Like other smartphones from popular companies, the One will also be priced quite high. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 42,900 and will be available in stores across the country by the end of April 2013.
HTC has also teamed up with Indian telecom giant Reliance Communications Limited. The two companies will offer Reliance users who buy the HTC One, 1GB of 3G data free for three months. This will also come with a variety of offers that would further compensate for data usage.
Nilanjan Mukherjee, the Chief Revenue Officer of Reliance Communications Limited, during the launch said, “We are happy to exclusively partner with HTC to bring the new HTC One in India. Every Reliance GSM subscriber can now avail 1GB of 3G data free for 3 months along with free sharing of unlimited text, music, pictures and videos through WhatsApp and Facebook for 3 months.”
Mukherjee went on to say that the free BigFlix subscription for three months will enable Reliance 3G users to watch the latest movies on the go, without having to worry about any additional data charges. Some of the key features of the device are a 1.7 Ghz quad core Snapdragon 600 processor, with 2GB RAM.
