“The Maharashtra government did not treat us as elected public representatives. It only treated us as political prisoners.”

Naidu and his supporters were in Dharmabad, Maharashtra during their five day arrest period.

He claimed that the Maharashtra government tried to harass him and his supporters in every possible manner, right from mental to physical level and has never experienced such terrible situation in his 32 years long political career.

Naidu and his supporters were detained for their attempt to scrutinize the controversial irrigation project at Babhli.

With lots of contempt and dissatisfaction he said that the present Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, K Rosaiah was the most shameless CM Andhra Pradesh has ever got because he kept mum all the while when the TDP President and fellow members were being treated so badly.
