Mobile manufacturer Motorola has recently announced that the launch of the Motorola X phone has been delayed. The phone is not expected to hit shelves before the month of August 2013. The chances of the phone making an appearance at the Google I/O event is also unlikely, as the event is scheduled to take place in the month of May 2013.
Media reports have claimed that the Motorola X phone is still in the prototype phase. On the other hand, an online publication says that the X Phone is scheduled to be released by the end of June 2013 to early July 2013. The Motorola X Phone specifications were already leaked online earlier, but this should not affect sales. Some of the rumoured specifications have revealed that the device will have a 4.8-inch screen with a yet unknown resolution, containing sapphire glass for protection. The device is likely to have a 2Ghz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and a 4,000mAh battery.
Plenty of rumours have surrounded around the X phone, including the fact that it might be a sub-brand, which includes user-defined configurations for color as well as storage capacity. Fans of the company will have to wait a little while longer to find out more details about the new device.
