Traffic in the world’s major cities has become a big issue, due to which commuters have to constantly look for different options to easily move from one place to another. These days, commuters depend on traffic updates from radio, but in the future this would be done via smart devices.
To help deal with these problems, Amidray, a Kochi-based startup firm has come up with the Blockout Traffic Android App. The app will help to give information about traffic blocks on the roads and other locations, so that people will be able to save time and energy. The system can function within the radius of 25 to 30 kilometers.
The application also has an ‘Im Stuck’ button so that users can post information about traffic blocks in a particular area. There will be a lot of information about the roadblock that is given out, including the time when the block took place. Researchers have predicted that about 75% of the population in the world will live in cities by the year 2050. The app works with the help of the GPS system built into modern day smartphones by tracking the current location of the user.
This app will surely be welcomed by people in the largest cities in the world, who often experience traffic related problems.
