Indian mobile manufacturing giant Micromax said that its Bolt A51 is now available at online retail stores like FlipKart.com, Snapdeal.com and Saholic.com. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 4,599 and was first spotted on the company’s official website. The new Bolt has a 832 Mhz Broadcom Single core processor with a 3.5-inch HVGA display.
The drawback of the device is that its operating system is the outdated Android Gingerbread 2.3.7, with a 1,500mAh battery. Micromax claimed that the battery delivers 4.5 hours of talk time with a standby time of 140 hours. Other features of the phone include a 2 megapixel rear camera, 0.3 mega pixel front camera, 256MB RAM and 512 MB internal storage, with a micro SD slot to accommodate up to 32GB of storage.
The connectivity features of the phone include Wi Fi, 3G and Bluetooth. The device also comes preloaded with applications like MiStore and MiBuddy. This is the third smartphone in the Bolt series from the company, after the Bolt A35 and the Bolt A27.
Moreover, the company has recently launched the A72 Canvas Viva, which has a 5-inch display and runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform. It is powered by a 1GHz processor, along with 256 MB of RAM.
