After the horrendous rape of a 5-year-old girl in Delhi, protests are being anticipated in the city. Three Delhi Metro Stations near Raisina Hill and India Gate  were closed for the public on April 22, 2013. Until further notice, metro stations will be shut for Race Course Road, Rail Bhawan and Udyog Bhavan as well.

Protests against rape have continued in Delhi for the second day, as various organizations have criticised the incident and have demanded action against all those who were involved. On the other hand, the Congress is thinking of sacking the Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar. Moreover, the second rape accused has also been arrested from Lakhisarai area in Bihar on April 21, 2013.

During the interrogation, the prime accused Manoj Kumar said that he had company during the crime. The second accused Pradeep, was caught from Barahiya village . Pradeep was hiding at his maternal uncle’s house and was arrested by a Delhi police team, with the help of a Bihar Police Special Task Force.

Neeraj Kumar, the Delhi Police Commissioner, said that the accused will be brought to the capital after getting a transit remand from Darbhanga Court. The 5-year-old girl’s condition is stable and she will be discharged in two weeks.
