South Korean electronics giant Samsung is moving ahead and has announced another smartphone known as the Galaxy Core. The company said that the new smartphone was built for its portability and power features, which are present with the optional dual-SIM technology. The Galaxy Core has a 4.3-inch TFT screen with a 800 x 480 resolution and 217 ppi pixel density.

The new smartphone runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform and is powered by a 1.2 Ghz processor with 1 GB RAM. The internal storage capacity of the device is 8 GB and can be expanded up to 64 GB with a micro SD card. The connectivity features of the phone include 2 G, 3 G, Bluetooth, WiFi and micro USB 2.0.

Other features of the phone include a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and VGA camera on the front. The device is powered by a 1800 mAh battery. The smartphone will compete in the market against other smartphones like the HTC Desire X, Sony Xperia U, Motorola Atrix, Nokia Lumia 620 and LG Optimus L7 II dual.

Samsung phones are already popular in the country, as well as in other countries. The company has taken a major share of the market and has made some popular phones, which are loved by smartphone enthusiasts.
