South Korean giant LG and search engine giant Google have jointly announced that the Nexus 4 will be available in the Indian market. The official Android phone will be available in the country with a price tag of Rs. 25,999. As of May 15, 2013, the device became available for pre-orders on Flipkart.com, which is an online shopping site, at a starting price of Rs. 25,990.

Soon Kwon, managing director of LG Electronics India said, “LG Electronics is pleased to partner Google on the release of the Nexus 4 in India. We added the best of our talent to our strength, and the result is a feature-packed smartphone that packs superb hardware under a slim hood.”

So far, the company announced details of the model with 16 GB internal storage and has not revealed anything about the 8 GB one that will be a cheaper model by a few thousand rupees. The Nexus 4 has a 4.7-inch screen with 720 P resolution and is powered by a quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM.

It has a primary camera of 8-megapixel and a 1.3-megapixel front camera and the phone does not support a microSD card. Phone also has a battery which cannot be replaced by users. The Nexus 4 will be sold only by LG and its retail partners.
