Seems like the competition in the smartphone market is never-ending, as more and more companies are venturing into the smartphone segment with their new and competitive smartphones. China-based handset maker Gionee has launched its ELIFE series of smartphones in the Indian market.
The first device under this brand will be the E3 smartphone. The handset features 4.7-inch IPS display and has 16 GB of memory on board. This quad-core smartphone also has an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and a front 2-megapixel camera. The picture releases have shown that the E3 has been built with the help of plastic or polycarbonate and offers color options similar to that of Nokia Lumia range of smartphones. The latest smartphones will be competing in the affordable quad-core segment, where the likes of Micromax Canvas HD and Karbon Titanium S5 have already made their mark.
The device runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean Operating System and is available in red, blue, graphite black and white. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 14,999 and is packed with a 1800 mAh battery with 7.9 mm thickness. The phone is now available across the stores in the country.
