Canadian smartphone manufacturing giant BlackBerry will soon be launching its Q10 model for the Indian market. The company launched its flagship phone the Z10 earlier, at an excessive price of Rs. 43,490. An image of the new handset for Indian market has been posted on the company’s official Twitter handle.

Along with the image, company posted a message saying, “BlackBerry Q10 is coming to India soon. Stay tuned on our page for all the latest updates!” The handset is already available for pre-orders from the popular online store Snapdeal.com, at an advance payment of Rs. 1,000. Media reports claim that the handset is likely to be priced between Rs. 28,000 and Rs. 30,000.

The company unveiled the BlackBerry Q10 along with the launch of Z10 model, but it is yet to hit major markets, including US market. Meanwhile, the phone has already been launched in the UK and Canada and has already received favorable responses from technology reviewers. Peter Misek, influential Jeffries analyst said that the phone is enjoying strong sales in Canada and the UK, based on store checks.

Media reports say that BlackBerry did not figure in the top three smartphone manufacturers in India in the last financial year.
