Electronics manufacturing giant Sony has launched its new Xperia Tablet Z for the Indian market. The tablet comes with a 16 GB internal storage and is priced at Rs. 46,990. Starting from Wednesday, May 29, 2013, customers will be able to buy the device in stores.
In order to attract potential customers, the company has made an attractive deal and is offering a free leather cover with the device. For now, the company has launched only one version of it, which supports 3G and Wi-Fi as connectivity options, along with NFC and Bluetooth. The new Sony Xperia Tablet Z also comes with a six month free subscription to Sony Music service, which offers DRM free downloads from the company’s catalog of international and Indian music.
A few days ago, it was reported that the Xperia Tablet Z has been put on pre-order through various online retailers. The Xperia Tablet Z has a 10.1-inch screen with full-HD display and is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with 1.5 GHz processor and comes with 2GB of RAM.
The device was first announced in January 2013 and the company said that it will be available in Japan first, starting from spring 2013.
