The CBI had reportedly appealed in the High Court for Shah’s denial of remand, which was granted by Justice Akil Quereshi. KTS Tulsi, the renowned attorney, would represent CBI in the High Court.

The CBI appealed in the High Court because a special CBI court had denied the CBI’s request for further questioning of the former Minister, regarding the ongoing case.

Reports say that a chargesheet of 3,000 pages has been filed against Shah. The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) believe that Shah killed Sohrabuddin because he claimed that Sohrabuddin was a member of Lashkar –e- Toiba.
