The spokesperson Hua Chunying in a routine press conference said that the Chinese government is confident in protecting the lives and property of people of all ethics. Along with this, the government will ensure peace and stability in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and create favorable conditions for the development of the region.

It was also noted by?Chunying that the so-called ‘East Turkistan’ forces represent the three evil forces of terrorism, extremism and separatism. In recent times, there were multiple terrorist attacks in Xinjiang, which resulted in big civilian casualties and threatened national security. The ‘East Turkistan’ secessionism and terrorism forces are linked to other international terrorist organizations and pose a threat to China, as well as to other countries in the region.

The spokesperson said that the ethnic policies which are carried out by the Chinese central government in Xinjiang suit the local situation and are supported by the people there. Chunying also added that attempts made by people to subvert solidarity and security in Xinjiang will never prevail and are meant to fail.
