Auto giant Nissan Motor Company has launched its facelifted version of the premium hatchback Micra for the Indian market. The company priced the latest vehicle from Rs. 4.8 lakh to Rs. 7.14 lakh (ex showroom New Delhi).

With the new Micra, the company has also introduced a value pack base range – which is known as the Active – at Rs. 3.5 lakh to Rs. 4.71 lakh with four variants. Along with these new additions, the number of variants is now extended to 11. The new petrol variants of Micra have been priced at Rs. 4.80 lakh and Rs. 5.43 lakh, respectively, while the CVT automatic version comes at Rs. 6.39 lakh.

The diesel range of the vehicle starts from Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 7.14 lakh. With the launch of the new Active range, the company intends to reach out to the premium B+ segment hatchback buyers of the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Honda Brio. Nissan is also trying to take away buyers from the B segment of Chevrolet Beat, Maruti Suzuki and Ford Figo.

The president and CEO of Nissan Motors India, Kenichiro Yomura said that the new Nissan Micra is the right product which will be introduced at the right time and will offer ideal mobility to customers, with a complete package of premium design.
