On July 18, 2013, South Korean giant Samsung has launched its Galaxy Tab 3 range for the Indian market. The range will include 23G-enabled and 1 Wi-Fi-only versions. The tablets available include Galaxy Tab 3 seven-inch and Galaxy Tab 3 eight-inch.
The Tab 3 seven-inch variant will be available on the Indian market with the price tag of Rs. 17,745 (3G) and the Tab 3 eight-inch will be available for Rs. 21,945 (Wi-Fi version) and Rs. 25,725 for the 3G version. The Samsung’s Tab 3 range has been rolled out in order to take on Apple?s iPad, which has a higher price.
The company’s latest launch is expected to challenge the presence of Microsoft, as it is busy capturing the market and building a customer base with its Windows 8 Surface. The Galaxy Tab 3 seven-inch has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 1024 x 600p resolution display, Android 4.1, 8 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM. The device comes with a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera.
After the latest launch of the Tab 3 series, Samsung currently has a range of five tablets, which are being priced between Rs. 17,745 and Rs. 38,840.
