Finnish mobile manufacturer Nokia will soon launch its Lumia 925 for the Indian market. Even though this information still needs to be confirmed by the company, the device is already up for pre-order at an e-commerce website for Rs. 33,999. The listing for the new phone states that the device will launch in the fourth week of August 2013.
The introduction of Lumia 925 might not be a major step internally, as the new phone has many features similar to Lumia 920. When it comes to the external body of the phone, this is the first time that the Finnish mobile company launched a smartphone with an aluminum frame. For now, the launch of Lumia 925 will be an interesting step, as it will complete Nokia’s smartphone segment in India.
The Lumia 925 will be competing in the smartphone segment, unless the company launches the Lumia 1020. In terms of specifications, the Lumia 925 is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Plus CPU, with 1 GB of RAM and 4.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and 16 GB of internal memory.
What is unique to the Lumia 925 is that it will be the first Nokia smartphone to ship in India with the Window Phone 8 Amber update. It will also include the upgraded Nokia Here maps stack, which is a glance feature and a new smart camera app.
