Indian auto giant Maruti is all set to launch its WagonR Stingray model on August 21, 2013, in Delhi. In addition to that, Internet has been flooded with leaked pictures of the new car, which show its exterior and interior.
The pictures posted online have showed that the new interiors are quite similar to that of the current WagonR, except there is an addition of steering-mounted audio controls and an all-black. However, there are certain changes when it comes to the exterior, such as slim headlamps which house projector-beam units, a flat front bonnet, a slimmer chrome grille and a completely new bumper which has a larger air dam and slightly restyled fog-lamp housings.
The rear portion has slimmer tail-lamps with clear lens units, a new chrome strip over the license plate with bold WagonR Stingray badging and a rear spoiler. When it comes to mechanicals, the new model is expected to carry the same three-cylinder 67bhp 1.0-liter K10 series motor in the current WagonR.
It is essential that the new WagonR differs from the current WagonR and to sit above it. So far, nothing has been announced in terms of pricing, but it is expected that the upcoming model will be priced between Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 50,000 more than the current version.
