Tablet manufacturer Swipe has launched its latest tablet – known as Swipe MTV Slate – for the Indian market. Earlier, the company launched quite a number of tablets in the market and most of them are priced around Rs. 10,000 or under.
The tablet manufacturer has already collaborated with MTV and has a good line up of tablets launched earlier, like MTV Swipe Volt Tablet, Swipe MTV Slash Tablet and Swipe MTV Volt 1000. The latest tablet from the company has been priced at Rs. 14,999. The Swipe MTV Slate has 7.85-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels.
The device has been powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor with the support of 1 GB of DDRIII RAM. The Swipe MTV Slate runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The Swipe MTV Slate has a 5-megapixel rear camera with a front-facing VGA camera and 8 GB of internal storage capacity which can be expanded up to 32 GB through microSD card.
The connectivity features of the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G. Looking at the specifications of the tablet, it seems like the device is all set to give a direct competition to the existing tablets on the market from Samsung, Nexus and Asus.
