Electronics manufacturer LG will be launching its G2 smartphone in India on September 30, 2013, soon after the South Korean company unveiled the device globally in August 2013. The company sent out press invitations for the launch event, set to be held on September 30, 2013.
The company also had many Facebook posts recently, which stated that the G2 will arrive in India soon. The price of the LG G2 in India is expected to be between Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 45,000. Most top smartphones which are launched in the country are in the same price range, but some can also be purchased for around Rs. 35,000.
The latest smartphone by LG will be competing with other, similar handsets, including the HTC One, Apple’s iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S4, the BlackBerry Z10 Nokia Lumia 925 and Sony Xperia Z. This week, a couple of important phones from the major companies were launched in the Indian market, like the Sony Xperia Z and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
The new G2 has a 5.2-inch full HD screen, which is a bit bigger than the 5-inch display of the rivals like the Galaxy S4 and the Xperia Z. When it comes to connectivity, the latest handset will feature 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and infrared.
