China-based smartphone manufacturer Huawei has officially released its Ascend P6 smartphone for the Indian market. The new device from Huawei has been priced at Rs. 29,999 and the company claims that it is the slimmest smartphone in the world.

Features of the device include a 4.7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with Android 4.2.2. The P6 also has an 8-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front camera, 2,000 mAh battery, 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB through a microSD card.

The device will be available in black and white colours with Huawei’s Emotion user interface on top. In recent times, two smartphones from Huawei – Ascend G700 and Ascend G610 – entered an online store in India and were priced at Rs. 16,500 and Rs. 12,499, respectively.

The G700 features a 5-inch HD IPS display with an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, while the G610 has a 5-megapixel rear camera, with LED flash, 5-inch IPS display and a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera.
