South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung has on October 28, 2013 released a new golden colored dual screen flip smartphone which belongs to its Galaxy series and is priced at Rs. 51,900. The device features two 3.7-inch screens.

The company in a statement said, “While the outer screen enables the users to make and receive calls, flipping the phone open brings up the inner screen and a large 3×4 keypad with big and bold keys to help users operate the phone with greater ease”. The statement went on to say that the new design has a goal to make the phone easy to use.

Additional features of the device include a ‘hidden receiver’, which enables users to take calls without having to open the folder and also offers high quality sound in areas with plenty of noise. The new flip phone is powered by a 1.7-inch dual-core processor and has a 1.5 GB of RAM, in addition to being based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

The device from Samsung also has an 8-megapixel front camera and 16 GB of internal memory. Vineet Taneja, the Samsung Mobiles and IT Country Head said that the device has an innovative dual display with a premium golden finish. Taneja went on to say that it brings the best of touch and type experience in one smartphone.
