Veteran Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on November 14, 2013 entered the grounds of the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai to bat the first innings of his 200th and final Test. This will be the last match that the veteran will be playing and came at number 4 after the opening pair Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay fell.
The score of the Indian team stood at 77 after the loss of two wickets and the crowd roared when Tendulkar entered the stadium along with a guard of honor from the visiting team. The team of West Indies previously surrendered to the spin attack of India and collapsed to 182 all out in the second match of the two Test series.
On the first day, the attack by the Indians was visible and they were likely make it difficult for the batsmen. A giant screen welcomed the famous cricketer and read, “Don’t even blink”, as Sakshi Dhoni and Nita Ambani gave a standing ovation from the president’s box at the Wankhede Stadium.
The player used a batting grip which featured the Indian tricolor on it and got off the mark as the crowd screamed “Sachiiin, Sachiiin” to show their support. This is the 20oth and the final Test for the famous player and reports say that a few hundred crores were bet on Tendulkar scoring a zero.
