Indian auto giant Mahindra & Mahindra recently revealed that it sold 75,000 units of its popular Sports Utility Vehicle – XUV500 – since it was launched globally. The company managed to reach the impressive figure in a span of 2 years and this is a noteworthy achievement for the domestic car maker, as the SUV has been extremely popular among car enthusiasts ever since it had its debut in India.
The company has been present in India for a long time and is known for its commercial vehicle portfolio. Pravin Shah, the company’s Automotive Division Chief Executive said, “We are overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response from customers to the XUV500 that has led to impressive sales of more than 75,000 vehicles in just over two years since its launch. This is a benchmark for sales among high-end SUVs.”
Moreover, Mahindra XUV500 has claimed the top spot in Customer Satisfaction survey when it comes to the SUV segment, which was conducted by TNS Automotive India in 2012. The production of this popular vehicle was so significant, that even renowned wildlife and entertainment channel Discovery made a documentary called ‘Inside Out’ about it.
Mahindra XUV500 is considered to be an authentic SUV with an option of 2-wheel and 4-wheel turbo engine, 5th generation Variable Geometry Turbo charger diesel engine of 2.2-liter capacity and much more.
