Even though automakers have been dealing with a decline in sales in recent times, global car manufactures are not allowing this to affect them and they are all set to showcase about 70 new vehicles during the upcoming 5-day Auto Expo which is scheduled to begin on February 5, 2014 in Delhi.
The highly-anticipated event will see 15 global launches of brand new cars and SUVs. The country’s car manufacturing giant Maruti Suzuki India – which is a subsidiary of Japanese automobile and motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki – will be unveiling its all-new Celerio and the SX4, which will serve as replacements for the existing models.
Meanwhile, Tata Motors is also expected to debut at least five global vehicles and will be introducing a totally new range of hatchbacks and sedans under its Falcon and Dolphin range. The new models will come as replacements for the existing Indigo and the Indica. In addition to that, the US-based car manufacturer Ford is expected to present its next-generation Figo hatchback for the Indian market.
Hyundai is also planning to launch two new cars – including the sub-4 meter sedan and the Santa Fe SUV – for Indian market. Indian auto market has been facing a major slowdown in recent times, with car sales dipping by 10% between April 2013 and November 2013.
