Internet giant Google is all set to debut its ‘Shoppable Hangout’ in India on January 20, 2014. The new system will enable users to interact with each other, as well as to shop online at the same time.
The search engine giant has teamed up with e-commerce giant Myntra.com and Hrithik Roshan, one of the biggest stars in Bollywood in order to launch Shoppable Hangout on Google+ for the Indian market. A statement from the company revealed that Google+ Shoppable Hangout On Air will allow up to ten people to interact with each other by using a multi-person video chat which is broadcast live to millions of online users.
Viewers will be able to shop, chat and comment online, all at the same time. With the help of the new Hangout, designers or retailers will be enabled to publicly broadcast multi-person video chat about their products. Moreover, customers can simultaneously browse through the exclusive catalogue. Nitin Bawankule, the Google India Industry Director said, “The Shoppable Hangout will provide users with a brand new online shopping experience, which will be like shopping Hrithik’s clothing line with him at your side, except from participants’ living rooms”.
Apart from products on Myntra.com, the Hangout will also have Hrithik’s clothing line HRX. In addition to that, fans will be allowed to shop and chat with Hrithik online. The Bollywood star said that he will use this opportunity to interact with his loyal fans and shoppers to showcase his clothing.
