Indian auto giant Tata Motors released a new variant of its popular Nano Twist model on January 13, 2014. The company launched the latest Nano Twist which has been priced at Rs. 2.36 lakh (ex-showroom price Delhi).
Regarding the new launch, Tata Motors said, “The new Nano Twist comes with an Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) system, designed for easy maneuvering in tight driving and parking situations”. The new EPAS system has a steering column-mounted brushless motor, as well as an ECU (Electronic Motor Unit), which helps drivers to steer the Nano Twist.
The latest Nano has a 624 cc multi-point fuel injected, water cooled gasoline engine, with 2 valves per cylinder, in addition to a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine is able to produce 38PS power and 51 Nm torque and also provides fuel efficiency of 25.4 kmpl and is certified by the Automotive Research Association of India. The Nano Twist will be available in the damson purple color with chrome accents and comes with some new interior fabrics.
The new model features remote keyless entry, twin glove boxes, four-speaker music system with Bluetooth, as well as auxiliary connectivity and USB. Ranjit Yadav, the president of Passenger Vehicle Business Unit of Tata Motors said that the new Nano Twist will redefine customer’s driving experience in city traffic with the EPAS.
