Indian tablet manufacturer Micromax has released its brand new Android tablet Funbook P280 for the Indian market. The new Funbook P280 has been priced at Rs. 4,650, which means that it is a budget-friendly device.
Looking at the price of the device, it can be said that it does not have much to offer to tablet enthusiasts. Considering the price of it, Micromax’s new tablet can compete with the Ubislate series of Datawind, which are also known as the Aakash tablets. A statement from the company says that the new P280 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, with an All Winner A13 single-core Cortex A8 processor, which is clocked at 1 GHz.
The device features 512 MB of RAM, a 7-inch capacitive TFT LCD screen with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Not much can be expected from the camera of the device, as it only has a 0.3-megapixel front camera and does not have a rear camera. The P280 has an internal storage capacity of 4 GB, with expandable storage of up to 32 GB through microSD cards.
When it comes to connectivity, there is a full-sized USB port for data dongles, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity, but the device does not feature Bluetooth, GPS or a SIM slot for 3G connectivity.
