Asia Bizz: GoDaddy.Com Is Up For Sale – Internet Registrar Likely To Fetch $1 Billion
GoDaddy.com, the world’s renowned internet domain name registry is up for sale at a private auction, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
WSJ reported on Friday that the company could get more than 1 billion in the auction. To assist with the sale, GoDaddy has reportedly consulted Qatalyst Partners, although the company did not say anything about the sale.
Never heard of GoDaddy? The company happens to be the the world’s biggest domain name registrar. Founded in 1997 by Bob Parsons, it reportedly has around 43 million domains under it. It became a lot more famous thanks to its seductive promos and GoDaddy girls including race car driver Danica Patrick.
