HTC Desire VC 816 enters the burgeoning Indian smartphone market.
Chinese based smartphone manufacturer – HTC – has launched the dual SIM smartphone Desire 816 at Rs. 23,990 for the Indian market. The new smartphone is based on an Android platform with HTC Sense and the HTC Blinkfeed.
The new smartphone has an 8 GB Internal storage and 1.5GB RAM. Powered with a 128 GB memory it has an additional storage option. The smartphone also has an internal GPS antenna and a digital compass. The phone comes equipped with sensors like the proximity sensor, accelerometer and ambient light sensor.
The phone also has a 3.5 stereo audio jack and Bluetooth 4.0. In terms of sound quality, the device has a HTC BoomSound, dual front stereo speakers which has built in amplifiers and sense voice.
Other features of the device include, a 13 MP camera with main camera with BSI Sensor, f/2.2 mm lens with 1080 video recording capabilities.
The device has a 2600 mAh battery and can deliver talk time of up to 21 hours with a standby time of 614 hours for 3G.
The smartphone was first showcased in the Indian market several weeks back.
