Wimbledon to add more flavor and variety to the sports season.

While football fans are having their share of fun, tennis enthusiasts across the globe are all set for the much awaited Wimbledon 2014 which will flag of on June 23, 2014 at the All England Lawn Tennis in London.

England’s Andrew Murray will sweat it out to defend his title after he took the trophy home last year. On the other hand, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will be one of the toughest to beat on the grass this year.

The first round of matches (ladies and mens) will begin on June 23, 2014, while the second round will begin from June 25, 2014. The third round is expected to begin on June 27, 2014.

Murray will be entering the championship as 3rd seed behind Rafael Nadal (Spain) and Novak Djokovic (Serbia) –  who have been seeded in the first and second round respectively.

Among the ladies, Maria Sharpova, Simona Halep, Li Na and Serena Williams form the promising panel of winners this year.

The tournament will be broadcasted on ESPN and the Tennis channel in the United States. The games can also be watched online through live streaming on ESPN.
