Djokovic manages thumping victory on Wimbledon grass.
Serbia’s Novak Djokovic claimed his second Wimbledon title on July 6, 2014, the final fight between Djokovic and Swiss player Roger Federer went down in Wimbledon’s history as the latter was bereft of his to-be 18th Wimbledon victory.
Djokovic’s victory on the grass will double up celebrations as the serb is soon to marry his girlfriend Jelena Ristic on July 10, 2014. The marriage ceremony will be held at a secret location on the island of Montenegro. Moreover, the duo are also expecting their first child in October 2014.
The winner made Federer run about 4,096 meters while he just put in a mere 3,773 meters. The finals were overall a bit odd, as Djokovic had lost the first set in a tie break and despite several chances, Federer failed to pick up points from the opponent’s serve.
The Swiss player saved three break points at 3-4 and at 4-5, he allowed Novak back when his serve finally let him down.
