Nikon D7000 Camera – The Nikon D7000 digital camera has been unveiled today, and this new model has a host of new features to make photography a lot easier for people. Although it’s yet to be officially announced as a replacement for the D90, this 16.2 megapixel camera is ready to take on it’s competitors Canon and Olympus.

The Nikon D7000 has quite a few astounding features – a stylish new DX-format, a CMOS image sensor as well as the much hyped EXPEED 2 image-processing system – which helps in processing images a lot faster. This 16.2 megapixel beauty also comes with a 2,016-pixel RGB metering sensor in addition to the Multi-CAM4800DX autofocus sensor module with 39 focus points which will work wonders for your photos.

The other features include a useful double SD memory card slot, a rechargeable Li-ion Battery with a good battery life for 950 shots, D-Movie function, and a dedicated live view switch as well as Nikon’s browsing software – the ViewNX 2.

Amazon has put a price tag of $1,499 for the Nikon D7000 camera.
