The online megastore, Flipkart partners with Intel and launches tablets starting at Rs. 5,999.
Indian e-commerce giant, Flipkart has launched 5 new tablets in collaboration with Intel under their in-house brand Digiflip Pro. The tablets will be powered by Intel’s Atom processors and will be in the range of Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 15,999. The gadgets will be sold exclusively in India through Flipkart starting today, August 28, 2014.
The new range of tablets that are being launched:
- ET 701 – Rs. 5,999
- XT 801 – Rs. 8,999
- XT 811 – Rs. 10,999
- XT 901 – Rs. 13,999
- XT 911 – Rs. 15,999
The E 701 is a 7 inch tab that will come in red, pearl white, blue and grey, and will have full Wi-Fi connectivity. Pre-installed apps include Flipkart, Myntra and the Flipkart e-book. The tabs will be running on the dated Android v4.2 Jelly Bean, but the company assures users that they will receive the Android v4.4 KitKat update.
Intel South Asia Director (Marketing and Market Developing), Sandeep Aurora said, “We are excited to work with Flipkart to launch these five new tablets, powered by Intel processors, which will deliver a compelling mobile computing experience to consumers.”
Over the recent months, Flipkart has established its clout in the electronics department, after it gained exclusive retailer rights for a number of phones that include:

- Asus ZenFone series
- Celkon Signature Two A500
- Xiaomi M series
- OPPO Find 7
