The anticipation of the Indian prime minister’s visit to New York’s exemplary Manhattan arena has propelled the sale of tickets to rocket speeds. With a capacity of 20,000 people, the indoor stadium is preparing to accommodate a much larger representation of Indians, from where the event will be broadcast live at the Crystal Tower, making its the biggest event ever hosted for any head of state visiting the US.

Organized by the Indian-American Community Foundation (IACF), the event will comprise thousands of professionals–doctors, techies from Silicon Valley and bankers from Wall Street. Present at the arena would be top honchos Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Indira Nooyi of PepsiCo, Ajay Banga of MasterCard, Shantanu Narayen of Adobe, Vivek Ranadive of TIBCO and owner of Sacremento Kings (NBA), Kamesh Nagarajan of Morgan Stanley and top executives from Goldman Sachs.

Apart from the above, Modi will meet the US president on September 29 and 30 in Washington, as well as former presidents Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton in New York. He would also pay homage to the 9/11 memorial on September 27, 2014 and Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Memorial, and Mahatma Gandhi’s statue at Washington on September 30, 2014.
