Model and TV host Valerie Weigmann becomes Miss World Philippines 2014.
Commercial model, TV host and crowd favorite, Valerie Clacio Weigmann, was crowned Miss World Philippines 2014 at the SM MOA Arena in Pasay City, Philippines on October 12, 2014. Weigmann belongs to the Albay province, but describes herself to be of Filipino, German and Danish descent.
The Eat Bulaga co-host won several special awards on her way to the crown, including Best in Swimsuit, Best in Fashion Runway and Best in Long Gown. The 24-year-old beauty queen was also chosen as Miss Solaire, Miss Filia, Miss Jesi Mendez, Miss Reducin, Miss Olay, Miss Bench, Miss Camarines Sur, Miss Hana and Miss Blue Water Day Spa.
The declared runners-up at the pageant were Lorraine Kendrickson as First Princess, Nelda Ibe as Second Princess, Nicole Donesa as Third Princess and Rachel Peters as Fourth Princess.
Other contestants who were awarded special titles at the Miss World Philippines 2014 pageant were Lorraine Kendrickson for Best in Sports, Nelda Iba for Miss Photogenic, Kristine Angeli Estoque and Christine Balaguer for Miss Friendship, Jean Maria Feliciano for Miss Talent and Kimerly Anne Sarreal for Miss Sun Cellular.
Weigmann was crowned by the reigning Miss World Megan Young, who became the first Filipino woman to win the 63-year-old Miss World pageant in 2013.
