Indian budget carrier SpiceJet, which recently struggled to survive, is back with its discount offers. The airline is offering 500,000 seats at fares starting from Rs. 1,499. The new sale has a booking period between January 28, 2015 and January 30, 2015 for travel period between February 15, 2015 and June 30, 2015.
The new offer fare is inclusive of everything and for one way. The airline released a press release informing about the offer saying that the offer is applicable on all the direct flights and will be given on a first come first serve basis. The press release added that the seats per flight are limited.
The press release added that the customers will be able to have the new schedule of SpiceJet as it will be announced on February 1, 2015. The airline has promised to enhance network and schedule during the summer schedule beginning from March 29, 2015. SPiceJet is owned by Kalanithi Maran and KAL Airways and is now being bought by its founders Ajay Singh and other investors.
The recent investors have agreed to lend Rs. 1,500 crores equity by April 30, 2015. The proposal says that KAL Airways and Maran will have to sell all their stake to Singh and the investors. Chief commercial officer Kaneswaran Avili said that the new offer is being made to sell in advance the seats at attractive prices.
