Electronics manufacturing giant Samsung is all set to launch its flagship device Galaxy S6 for the Indian market in March 2015. So far no official confirmation has been given but sources from the industry have revealed that the smartphone will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2015 which is scheduled to be held between March 2-6, 2015.
A spokesperson from Samsung refused to comment on the report. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 will be taking over from the S5 as the top smartphone and is expected to be very different from that of its predecessor. Samsung launched the Galaxy S5 in March 2014, but turned out to be a big disappointment.
The launch of the device also led to miss the company’s first quarter sales expectations. So in order to compensate the loss, Samsung launched the Galaxy Alpha, which was its first Android phone with a metallic body. The device was launched within just six months of the launch of the Galaxy S5. Some of the features of the S6 include a 20 MP rear camera with 32 GB and 64 GB storage options, micro SD card support, more than 3,000 mAh battery capacity and faster 4G radios.
The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6 is crucial for the company’s profitability. The sales of the South Korean devices are squashed by the other companies like Xiaomi and the new devices of Apple.
