Asia Bizz: Twitter Hacked Today By Virus
Twitter was hacked today by a virus that made the social networking site give some problems for users worldwide. The virus had it’s effect on Twitter.com only and not other third party programs in relation with the website on Tuesday morning.
A lot of security experts have recommended to not use the website today for sometime until Twitter rectifies the issue. The worm/virus was launched by Magnus Holm, a Norwegian Ruby programmer. The Twitter virus made situations worse when it redirected a lot of visitors to some random adult websites.
Twitter.com is one of the biggest micro-blogging sites in the world, where users can “tweet” messages to “followers”, and at the same time allow users to “follow” other people’s tweets.
