Auto giant Maruti Suzuki launched its 100th Nexa showroom in Thane on January 22, 2016. With the launch of the 100th showroom, the company has made its presence in 60 cities in the country. Maruti Suzuki aims to open 45 new showrooms by the end of the financial year and a 100 more by the end of 2017.
Nexa was launched as a dealership for more premium Maruti Suzuki products and was introduced in July 2015. The executive director of Marketing and sales at Maruti Suzuki India R.S. Kalsi said, “We are delighted to start the 100th NEXA showroom ahead of our plan. Through NEXA, we want to meet the diverse expectations of our customers.”
Kalsi added that the customer feedback and the surveys show that there is a growing segment of car buying Indians who give importance to personal care, attention and warmth in their carownership and buying experience.
The brand Nexa is specifically designed for this segment and brings together people, showroom ambience, technology and processes to deliver this segment of customers. The company at present employs 2,500 relationship managers at the Nexa showrooms and is planning to hire 2,500 by the end of the next financial year when it will have a total of 250 outlets.
