Search engine giant Google is celebrating International Women’s Day with a special Doodle that features real women. For a change, this time they are not animated ones but real women from different parts of the world.
People across the globe observe International Women’s Day on March 8, 2016 that aims at inspiring women and celebrate their achievements. The Doodle has a short video on its home page. The video has women sharing their aspirations by completing the sentence ‘One day I will…’.
The creator of the Doodle Liat Bin Rafael while talking about it said it was important for her to feature real women instead of animated ones that usually appears on Google Doodle. Liat said, “International Women’s Day is a celebration of the women who are here today working towards a better future, and in that sense it was important for me to make sure that we celebrate the real women”.
The creator added that they focused on celebrating the unsung heroes so not showing the real women behind that could have been a big loss. The Google users can watch the video by clicking on the play button on the home page on March 8, 2015. The users also have an option to share their aspirations with the hashtag #One day I will…
