Video streaming giant YouTube has launched its Gaming service in India, Malaysia and Philippines . The service is the search engine Google’s venture in to the game-streaming space that is currently dominated by Twitch.
For the users the YouTube Gaming app is now available for Android and iOS. The app allows easy switching between live stream of games and recorded sessions. There is one feature on Google Gaming that is not available on Twitch that it the ability to rewind and catch up to the streaming white it is live.
For the Android users, the app allows the games to record and stream their sessions with the help of front facing camera and the microphone. The service has another interesting feature for the Android version known as the pop out playback. This overlays the playback of video in the corner of the screen.
The service also has some new changes from the default YouTube experience. There is no sidebar and has been replaced with top bar for navigation. The users can browse live streams, popular games as well as channels. The suggestions for watching will be based on the activity of the users . The streams also have the facility of live chat and will also be easy to support the gamers who are tracked with sponsorships.
