Motorola Droid 2 R2-D2 Smartphone To Be Launched – Verizon Wireless announced on Monday that it will be launching the much awaited R2-D2 edition of the Motorola Droid 2 on September 30, and is likely to be a craze for all “Star Wars” fans.

Reports state that the Motorola Droid2 R2-D2 limited edition phone has the look and feel of “Star Wars” right from the phone design to a Star Wars themed media dock, ringtones, as well as live wallpapers. The features are similar to the usual Droid 2 with the Android 2.1 and a 1GHz processor. The smartphone comes with a 3.7-inch display, a 5MP camera, in addition to a cool 8GB preinstalled memory card besides several other “Star Wars” themed surprises.
The price tag? Reports state that the Motorola R2-D2 Droid 2 will come at a cost of $249, along with a two-year service agreement. There is also a $100 mail rebate, which is sure to be a steal for Star Wars fans!
