Asia Bizz: Sony Xperia X8 Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 13,900
Sony Ericsson has launched the Xperia X8 in India and is priced at Rs. 13,900. The X8 will be a perfect choice for the consumers who want to opt for something between the X10 mini and X10 Pro. We are not still sure, that the X8 could be placed in the smartphone category, but for the moment we will be calling it just a phone.
The X8 comes with a scratch resistant 3.0 inch screen with a higher 320×480 resolution. The other feature which does not look so impressive on this phone is the 3.2 mega pixel camera, the consumers expected a better camera from Sony for the Xperia.
It runs on a sluggish Android 1.6 Operating system, which we hope could be upgradeable to a 2.1. Other minor features include 3G, Wi-Fi b/g, Bluetooth 2.1. It also has a 16GB memory support which is basically the only positive side of this phone. The major setback in the phone is, that it does not offer a qwerty keypad like the other ones. So this phone is perfect for those who are opting for the X10 mini but find the screen too small, only if they really want to go for a Sony Ericsson.
