The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is an annual international cricket tournament held in hong Kong, The event is approved by the ICC. It is a super-short format of cricket much shorter then the current mania The T20.
The Hong Kong Super Sixes 2009 cricket tournament starts today and will last till November 1. The 15th edition of the tournament will have 8 teams fighing for the title. All the eight teams have been divided into two groups, the northern and the southern hemispheres. India has been placed in the Norhern hemispheres along with teams like England, Sri Lanka and rivals Pakistan. Hongkong, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia compromise the Southern hemisphere group.
Anil Kumble will be the captain of the Indian Sqaud.India will play against Pakistan and Sri Lanka oct 31st, along with a round-robin match against defending champions England.
