Asia Bizz: iAd Mobile Advertising Network To Be Brought Forward By Apple In Japan
Apple has now taken a new step in technology advancement, as it will be coming up with the iAd, a mobile advertising network platform in Japan. Apple and a Japanese advertising giant, Dentsu Inc. are teaming up to launch this feature in the country by early next year. The company made this statement regarding this feature on Wednesday.
Dentsu is the largest Ad agency in Japan, and it will be providing advertising space through the iAd network on iPhones and other devices in Japan. The company will be selling this ad space commercially, which in turn will be providing some really strong revenue for Apple.
iAd was launched in the US earlier this year, and the company had aimed to strike the cellphones which were based under Apple. The advertisements are broadcast through the iAd advertising platforms, which is compatible on phones running on the iOS 4 and above.
Apple said that the application developers who use the iAd system, generate almost 60% of their income through it. Competition for the mobile advertising space has become very hot in the US and many other countries around the world, amidst this Apple feels it may do well by its iAd network platform in the ad market today.
