Asia Bizz: Iran Confesses Advancement In Missile Defense System
Iran has finally confessed that it has undergone an advancement in its missile defense system, which may be equivalent to the modern Russian missile defense system. Earlier this year, Russia has stated that it has blocked all its major weapons sale to Iran, and also most of the countries who are strategically dealing with Iran in its military trade too have barred to keep any such relations.
After the UN sanctions, even Russia has cancelled the deal of the S-300 anti aircraft missile sale to Iran. A prominent Iranian military official has stated, that “We have developed the system by upgrading systems like S-200 and we have tested it successfully using all our potential and experience in the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the Army and the Defense Ministry,”.
In context to this missile system, the details will be released very soon by the Iranian military. This development and claims have come after the scheduled meeting of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev with the President of Iran, in context to the Iranian Nuclear Program.
